The British came and burned down the white-house in 1814, during the era of slavery. Of course slavery had nothing to do with it. The whole idea of "rights" is pretty baseless anyways. People do to eachother and everything else, whatever they can get away with.

What is anti-democratic is refusing to leave office when your term is up. That is a constitutional violation.
