You mentioned it takes a bit to dry and it doesn't write very boldly so you do multiple runs...have you tried using The PERFECT PRINTING POUCH (also sold by Custom Crops) to pre-treat the shiny paper before using the markers? Since the pouch makes writing bold and dark and dries ink fast (with inkjets, markers on vellum, stops markers from bleeding into wood and fabric, stamps etc..) It might just be perfect for this!
