The Chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Selection Panel is a worried man. Dr. Ekuru Aukot is concerned that Kenyans are not enthusiastic about Chairing the yet to be formed Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission that will mid-wife next year's elections. Only five people applied for the position of chairperson of the IEBC and only four are qualified for an interview for the post. This even after the vacancy was re-advertised. Speaking exclusively to Citizen TV, Dr. Aukot however sought to assure Kenyans that his panel will pick only men and women of integrity to manage the elections. Willis Raburu reports.

I don't understand why the chair must be a lawyer ,why not experts in population studies ,marketing or public administration?,being a lawyer does not necessarily amount to good management skills and ability to understand large volume data processing
