My Friend you are mixing up cause and result. Garry is in the USA because he is not safe in Russia. I agree with you that he has marginal support but that isn't so odd when you consider you are putting your life on the line when having a different opinion then that of the state. Putin isn't loved by what he has done, he's loved because the people know no different and haven't been given a chance to experience anything different. To VisionOfT - very naive thinking of yours. I doesn't matter how much successful you've been or how much money you have, when you'd like to have more. From a chessplayer viewpoint I can say that the willing to prevail does always drives you taking over everything else. You need to understand that the game of chess is very cruel and come to no compromises. Years of preparation can be wasted with one single move at top levels. He was at the very top and always be as ambitious as a man can get.
