I just want to express my gratitude to Pierre for making these videos of his lectures available. Individually, they are illuminating. Collectively, they are transformative.
Namaste, great teacher.

what addition to the development of my mental does the fact of knowing that plato was such and such person ?
-
I think "dont fight what you don't understand" is your own addition.

So its a myth that America is in the same dire cycle of despostism and facism that Ancient greece was or that Plato was trying to wake people up to the fact that the government of ancient greece flew planes into the twin towers as a pretext to invade Ancient babylon or I mean Iraq.

plato did not approve of slavery, i agree with the others. it was Aristotle that said some people are born masters and some slaves.

Obey. Slave.

"we" may no be everyone or everything. As humans; apparently "we" have masters. We cannot control many things.. we do not know many things. Therefore someone or something is our master, and the "we" that you and I are a part of, are in fact "slaves". Yes, actually English is very much my first language. I can also comprehend. Can you?
Pierre Writes:
Whatever awakens your anger and propels your wrath, is something you need to understand just because you experianced these states at home, shows the origin of something you have not understood. Watch your anger arise, and ask yourself who you are acting like, and you will see the folly and see that it is not your own.

Pierre Writes:
Yes, the esoteric counts and it is difficult to reach that level. There are few works like Plato so that what is distinctive about him requires cultivating a way of understanding that can match what he has created in the dialogues. We in our culture follow the science and logical model.

Plato follows a Pythagorean and Orphic model which he communicates through analogies, allegories, and a strict use of Mythology. It takes a bit of patience and the dawning of wonder to see it, but it is there to be seen. Take a look.
