Poor Joe. He could barely sing. Sounds to me like he was losing his voice. I saw them live in the early 80's. He could nail that song, all the songs for that matter, no problem.

Mutt Lange, who I consider to be a VERY GOOD record producer, produced 'High n' Dry'. It was a well done album. However, I always knew there was A LOT of doctoring going on, with the lead and back-up vocal tracks, including applying heavy reverb and doubling of tracks. This made it very difficult, to perform what was recorded, LIVE! Just my opinion.....
