Noo youre doing it all wrong. cut the price in half and then haggle down to the price you want if they say no walk away. if they say "okokokok yes come back" then say lower because they wouldn't take it :D theyll soon give up if they want a sale! :)

Haggling is easy, you state your price (which is about 1/3-1/2 of what they say it is) when they say no (which they always will) you walk away, they come crawling after you and begging for you to come back and you stick to your price. Simple.

Nice way of bargaining I'll try it one day. What your willing to pay is the main objective, however I doubt very much the vendor would have lost anything, he probably stole the items anyway lol.
