  • Wow, the more I'm hearing the term "knockdown power" the more it bothers me, I don't even consider it a theory like some people do I just consider it a myth

  • @skeptic1890 I think knockdown power is a myth as far as small arms go. But when you talk about 40mm grenade launchers shooting high explosive ammo...then yes knockdown power is very relevant. Even if a 40mm grenade misses you it has the power to "knock you down". Also 50 cal and 20mm machine guns have a certain knockdown power. But I agree with you most handgun & rifle projectiles wont knock a human down. They go through humans like jello even with hollow points.

  • Who wants to bet HK's version of the mark 19 is actually reliable?

  • @ethosflux Lol, I remember having a malfunction on my MK19 when shooting high explosive ammo. An armorer came running up to me with a hammer and a screw driver to fix it. It was a weird day for sure!!!

  • how come civilians can get better weapons that the military, they're still using m16s

  • @DaBurntToaster Actually the military has some of the best weapons. Where do you think the civilians get their guns? They are often scaled down, neutered commercial versions of what the military actually uses. Plus the M16/M4 work...plain and simple. Thousands of terrorist have been sent to Allah with the old Eugene Stoner designed rifle.

  • @DobermansRock russia is not a communism

  • @mixflip FN makes the the Bolt system for the MK19

  • @skeptic1890 Lets say that the government did actually ban civilians from owning firearms. You think they are going to be able to collect all those weapons?? Im gonna say that at least 90% of gun owners are willing to fight hard as they can to not give up their weapons. A ban on civilian owned firearms would tear our country apart from the inside and the government knows that so we will never see a full scale ban.

  • @skeptic1890 Then you really must go look up this thing called history. You are wrong on all accounts.

  • @DobermansRock Agree to disagree I suppose, but the way I see it is our government has never tried to use its superior firepower against its own people, in fact we're lucky to live in a country where we even have a right to bear arms, some countries could never dream of such a thing. Considering that our government could, if it really wanted, BAN all firearms, I'd say we should be grateful for our current rights.

  • @mixflip Sorry I probably should have been more specific, as far as the much larger caliber rounds and grenades, yes I totally agree there is most defenitely a degree of knockdown power, I was more referring to the pointless debate between the practicallity of 9mm, .40S&W, and .45ACP, and their differing "knockdown power"

  • can any one tell me what kinda stock is on the short hk?....

  • @skeptic1890 Yeah well I don't think so. If I cannot own it they should not be issued it. We the people should never give the government the upper hand. Thats just plain common sense. Look at Nazi Germany or Russia, China, North Korea and Cuba.
