  • How long are the videos?

  • Each vid is about 1 hour. Ab Ripper is every other day and it is an additional 15 minutes. Yoga is about 90 minutes. You can shed some time buy not doing some of the warmups/cooldown (especially on ab-ripper days) but that isn't recommended.

  • Please oh please, dear God... Do not try these Kenpo moves on the street. Use this video as a means of burning calories, strengthening your core and for breaking down lactic acid from the weight lifting the day prior.

For martial artists, use the intervals as times for using your own particular strikes and combinations. Such as substituting back kicks (lol) for spinning side kicks. Enjoy everyone.

  • thought I was going to hate it and it was my favorite so far....i could probably beat the shit out of a ninja

  • Any good fighter never chambers their hand in a fight anyway, they have it ready to protect either the head, or the abdomen. Also, standing sideways is a good way to minimize available surface area and maximize kicking efficiency for the lean and turn out.

  • I don't know what Kenpo you have seen but in a good school they would never teach chambering your hand as a separate movement or blocking kicks with your arm. Make sure it is an Ed Parker American Kenpo school.

  • yep this is my 6th day but im lookin forward to doin kempo 2morrow. keep up the good work though. best of luck.

  • mrstamos: cannot argue with you there. The forms of soft styles(Kung fu chuan faun etc)are WAY more fluid and suited to real life. The hard styles ALL(Kenpo, shotokan, shituryio, TKD etc)share some time consuming movements and physical geometry that makes one say 'HUH?!? as far as relating to reality. Hard style karate ignores the natural flow even though it is awesome art in the hands of a pro. TH warns about the dangers of 'locking out joints' in strikes. Circular soft styles win there also.

  • The Kenpo is incorrect, but Kenpo teaches you bad habits that don't work in real life anyway, like chambering your hand by your side instead of keeping it up by your chin and blocking leg kicks with your arm instead of lifting your leg and checking it. If he's going to spend the time pursuing the correct moves for muscle memory, he should learn a better form of fighting altogether.

  • kempo it hardcore but not as fun as plyo is funner and huttter

  • If you want to know the real Kenpo, Google Ed Parker and you can get his or a few other true masters/teacher's dvd's. SOME do not care, some will seek out more on Kenpo. Just letting you know before you develop a muscle memory for wrong forms that will be VERY hard to undo. Best to all. (:

  • As well, feet should be PLANTED when a punch connects(power from foundation magnified by hips and shoulders and then into focused strike)NOT a "step" but a connected 'shuffle'. Respect to T.H. but lets respect the real forms of Kenpo too. THIS is not it.
