  • I cannot find that colorchart in my install directory. Why would it not be included? RSP5 with CJV

  • @BottomsMU

    Hi

    The path is C:\RstrLink\Colourchart\Default.

If you can't find it please contact your Mimaki dealer and request them to email it to you.

  • Stephen,

When I loaded the "Standard" color replacement item, there were no "Output" colors for the "ES3 Metallic Color Chart 280.pdf"

Do you know if they exist anywhere? I've searched the web with no luck.

The supplied documentation has been very little help also.

    Thanks,

    Arnold

    Hi Arnold

What version of RLP are you using?

Try updating to the latest version and see if that makes any difference.

Update to RLP5 v2.4 first, then update to RLP5 v2.5

  • Hi Jon

I recommend using heater settings of 35-40-50, with a pass rate of 16. Limit your silver to about 60% on colours you create yourself. Also use good vinyl. Cheap and nasty vinyl doesn't hold the dot very well. If you are still having problems, go to the extreme and print as slow as possible. Highest pass rate, uni-directional. This will let you know the capability of the media you're using.

    All the best.

Uni or bi- directional, bit, passes etc didn't seem to make a difference but then cranked the heat a little (about +5 to approx 38,44,48 and that seemed to apply a lot better.

On a side note, do you still have the file in rasterlink that you printed the met swatches from? Just interested to see how much silver it used.

    Many Thanks,

    Jon

  • Thank you Stephen, will give it a go and see. Will let you know how I get on.

  • Hey Stephen, Thanks for taking the time to do these vids.

I am still having trouble with the color bleeding with the silver, are there any other things to bare in mind when doing colored metallics?

    Kind Regards,

    Jon
