Fourteen states have legalized medical marijuana. Federal officials say they won't arrest users who follow state law. Meanwhile, ten thousand are dead from drug violence in Mexico - how to satisfy demand, stop the killing, and benefit our economy? Jennifer & Paul light it up...

  • How about all the eradication of US grown marijuana?

It makes the Mexican grown import more valuable and worth shooting for..!

so by decreasing the U.S. made supply, our law enforcement is effectively bolstering the price and demand for Mexican pot.

    Simple economics 101

So who are our cops working to benefit again?

  • The DEA refers to California, by itself, as a "source nation" because so much pot is grown here.

Let's bring this above board, like they're doing at the excellent Harborside clinic in Oakland - that place is laid out like a bank, with armed guards who check your prescriptions, a vault which holds the cash & the most valuable weed... And they're regulated & taxed, the way it oughta be. Oakland is figuring this out... let's follow their lead!

  • It is an interesting video and a very good way of presenting it , I mean the topic , I think you could give more data about drug money and the connections in USA -MEXICO-REST OF THE WORLD. drugs have became because of the prohibition on the new gold, the new index of consumerism ...this is crazy everyone I know uses either a legal or a illegal substance on a daily basis, let's face drugs are not new for humans you are making it worse with prohibition

  • In the United States, steroids are a "controlled substance." They are illegal for athletes, though doctors sometimes prescribe them for breast cancer patients, AIDS patients, and others. The people you see on "Political Muscle" do not use steroids - our physical conditioning comes from hard work, time spent in the gym, and dedication to our fitness goals. But thanks for the compliment! :-)

  • right on! End the prohibition and end the murders.

  • I don't follow you here... What do you mean?

  • I love how the Obama admin has left the door open to enforce their draconian anti-weed laws at will

That is the verbiage that leads the way to "selective enforcement"

Selective enforcement is when an "authority" decides to prosecute his brown, accented neighbor for something that he doesn't prosecute his business partner for

Sad to see Obama playing the intentionally vague law game

Holder said that enforcing pot-laws in states that protect it is "ineffective use of our resources" but still ok

  • Somebody's gotta do the heavy lifting.

    Go team!
