I haven't played this game in awhile. I thought it was worth to upload this, as I managed to improve my very old record by as much as 2''04 seconds in just an hour of playing, lol.

PAL_50Hz version of the game.
To as far as I know, the N64 games made by Rare has properly game speed. PAL doesn't run at 5/6 speed in this case. I believe it just skips the frames instead of encoding them. I'm not certain which version that is the best to use for Time Trial.

PAL version has different in-game lag, which mean generally better zipper boosting, and maybe slightly different physics. I just got my N64 Passport in from eBay a little while ago, waiting for my PAL copy of DKR64 to come in as well (I'm an NTSC user). Will try this track out again when I get it (maybe go for WR too I guess, seeing as the WR was set on PAL)

I suppose it has less in-game lag because it renders less frames. I didn't even know in-game lag causes the boost duration to decrease? I would actually be quite interested in knowing the differences for the different versions of the game.

Do you have to unlock T.T. in Adventure or can you also do this in Tracks?

You'll get T.T in both the Adventure mode and Tracks mode from beating the T.T staff ghost on every course in the game. However, to unlock the final courses in Tracks mode, you'll need to advance to a certain point in the Adventure mode.

Yes, I think that's the primary effect for lag in this game. I don't think there are any other major differences other than that though (only minor ones/ones that don't affect gameplay like the 'GET READY' at the start of a race fading away slower on PAL and quicker on 'NTSC', etc.). The game does have a revision though (v1.1) which makes Spaceport Alpha a bit easier from v1.0.
