Just FYI, "Laid" isn't really his work. He does a (kick ass!!) cover of the song, but it's originally by James. His OWN stuff, however, is down right amazing. You should definitely a) give his albums a listen and b) catch him live. Even if Journey covers and between-song banter aren't your thing, there's really no denying how amazing his live shows are. I actually think he often sounds BETTER live than on the album, which is a rare feat in my opinion.

D: WHY ALL THE MATT HATE. He's playing these songs because he LOVES them. He SHARES THEM. He doesn't RIP THEM OFF like Rihanna and Beyonce and pass them off as their own, making sure the "new" generation has no idea that there were ORIGINALS. He plays these songs to crowds that already know the original, and we love it because it's FUN like the songs were meant to be. It's AMAZING to feel like a part of a song that everyone is enjoying. Don't shit all over people because it's LIVE. >: (

how about?? ....anyone with a sense of humor can see that matt is just goofing around and NOT attempting to deliver a rendition of a lifetime. when you're done hating yourself, check him out live. until you do that, keep your crap to yourself because you sound dumb talking about things you obviously know nothing about. get back to me when you do.
