Yes they made money which they deserved for all the great WAR music they created. This song still rings true though, when their producer decided he wanted all the millions the WAR name brings him, takes the five surviving original artists to court for the name WAR, and they give the name to this snake. So while this producer reaps the rewards off the talents of the artists, they are being forgotten, because they aren't "allowed" to use their WAR name. The REAL WAR band is the LOWRIDER BAND now.
