This video may very well be real, but it would be protected even if he was wearing no suit and died. He dumped off backwards and landed on his back while the Thinkpad was on his chest.

This really failed, i got a brand new lenovo from school, and one day i was gonna move it, and i softly grabed the plastic frame right under the screen, and the screen cracked, and became unusable

This is rather to emphasize the active protection system, that protects the hard drive by parking the head and stopping the disk if it is detected that the computer is dropped. If you drop a thinkpad while it's on from 25 feet, the computer itself would have some damage that renders it unusable, but the data would most likley be intact because of the active protection system.
