FF7 AC Cloud Smiles Piano Tutorial (How to Play):

The first tutorial on Youtube for the piano transcription by Reiko Takano. . .

Enjoy!!
________________________________________

TUTORIAL INFO:

1) I annotate the notes using 'Annotations' duh.
2) RH= Right Hand. . .LH= Left Hand.
3) I try to annotate (to the best of my ability) the notes (LH&RH) that play simultaneously directly below and above with respect to the different hands.

Basically, it's letter notation for the sheet music (instead of notes, there are letters indicating which keys to play and when to play them.)

  • What key is this in, if you don't mind me asking?

  • @thataznguitarist

The Key of the actual song is G Major... I believe.

But for all intents and purposes (for tutorials) I treat keys as always being "C Major"... i.e. every accidental is a sharp or flat relative to C Major.

  • Great Tutorial!! But it's really hard to keep up... You should've done Left hand 1st. Then Right hand.

  • Normally that would be OK. But for any moderately complicated song, the LH/RH alternating takes too long and doesn't work too well. (can't see how the two hands work together. . . since LH/RH play a lot of each other's notes.)

You can either watch my hands while I play it slowly and/or look at the annotations that spell out all the notes. . . .

I was hoping that the annotations would prove the most valuable asset in this tutorial.

You'll see later on in the tutorial!

  • Yes, the last triplet notes (for the melody) should NOT be played (at the same time) with a LH note.

My rhythm was off. . .

  • <3 this is epic ^_^ i had alot of fun trying to do it =D

  • you are right it's better to hear and watch at the same time instead of lh and rh one by one. it confuses the actual play
