Who was Thomas Newton, the alienated alien, naive and paranoid, mirroring his real life said at the time of this film. He stepped into the role he was born to play, and I'll always be forever in my mother's dept for her persistence at the video store. I still have the VHS, it's a priceless treasure to me, always a treat to watch, and it gets better every time.

Years ago a video store close to us was closing down and and my mother fought with the manager to sell her the copy of The Man That Fell To Earth, but he persisted that it had to go back to the main headquarters in the mainland. Well here persistence paid off and she ended up paying $30.00 bucks for it (a price she thought was too high). But to me it was priceless, this film is one of the best thing cinematic achievements in history, and shows a very fragile (cocaine addicted) Bowie (con't)
