@arodspecialist Agree! The less CG the better - otherwise, its almost like watching a computer game. The 1980s adaptations were also very good - not just actual kung fu skills, but just good acting skills! Felix Wong/Barbara Yung Legend of Condor Heros which I'm watching now....its just EPIC!

@TheNutellanut Very very true. They do not make them like this anymore. I like the old school and what mainland China is doing now. They are staying away from computer graphics and focusing more on actual kung fu skills as well as acting. For all of Jing Yun's books to really come to life, acting is critical.

Although this one is very old, the acting was superb. If anyone read the book, this Yang Xiao was by far the best played. Although the ending was slightly changed to make the movie more intersting, (the rise of Ju Yuan Zhang) The actor played Yang Xiao right down to the author's wishes: intelligent, narcissistic, charismatic, passionate. Add bad ass kung fu skills second only to Wu Ji and others, one wonder why any woman can't be charmed by him.
