The human betrayal at the ending always makes me cry. The film brought justice to the novel. Beautiful scenery and I adore the French countryside Marsellian dialect.
This music (the main theme of the film) is actually from Verdi's opera La Forza del Destino. It was not written by Jean Claude-Petit, only arranged by him, I think.

C'est un bon film.
