In 1977, there were three classical tapes from which to choose; well, BBC2 felt the need to replace the Overture: The Yellow Princess tape with this more modern tape which contained tracks from well-known film scores, including Ludmilla's Theme, Another Broken Heart and ending with the Love Theme from The Godfather film. In 1979, this was replaced by the more familiar Baby, I'm A Want You tape which ran from November 1979, but whilst Salute To The Olympians ran from December 1977 until then, Remember The Days Of The Old Schoolyard and Daydream Believer were actually in use over on BBC1 as schools intervals tracks at the time.

  • Cool! I finally learned that this tune is used as the theme music for the Major League Soccer team, Seattle Sounders FC. Thanks for posting! Greetings to you and yours in the United Kingdom from the United States of America!

  • Sounders!

  • Scary clown ..

  • Fantastic bit 08:46 where she pokes the clown in the eye with the chalk...and who knew that he could tapdance...and juggle.

  • This tape was never off BBC2. However I never really got to know it as a compilation, probably because it was a bit of a hotch potch and lacked cohesiveness.
