A tribute to Pte. Chad Horn.
Private, 2nd Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry based in Shilo, Manitoba. Aged 21, he was from Calgary, Alberta.
Birth: Oct. 14, 1986, Canada
Death: Sep. 4, 2008, Afghanistan

I am an American and I have the utmost respect for all of our allies fighting in Afghanistan, including the Canadians. RIP Chad, you did not die in vain.

i knew chad before he left for the military when he was a bus boy at a local bar here in calgary, and let me tell you if he was anything like he was then, you ppcli 2's had one of the most upbeat enjoyable people to be around. on the day the boy returned home from over seas during stampede, i was working at a bar here in calgary and 8 of them showed up fresh off the plane for a beer. i sat and watched for over 2 hours and not a single person bought those boys a round....

I have served in the middle east alongside many men, some of who have become my best friends, and I have seen then die. My brother has just released from the Canadian Forces, come back alive and well. Chad, I know you are looking down on us from somewhere, and even to me, you're my hero. The only heros are the dead ones.

God bless you, i'm a corporal (Combat Engineers)in the canadian force, and i was in Afghanistan in 07-08, really nice video!!!
