  • Great step for human rights I just hope we keep moving forward

  • Looks like a good rally, good speakers, and a happy crowd. The reading from the actual decision was great.

  • I am so proud of Cali! Hopefully this same joy will decrease to the other state!!!! I am in PA and I just cant wait!

  • As a straight male I fail to see why we should deny the right to be just as miserable in marriage as everyone. *chuckles* Marriage is nothing more then a legal contract. It has nothing to do with religion, procreation, nor sexual gratification. And as anyone who's been married can attest too, sexual gratification has no place in marriage. *chuckles again*

  • @RoulinBrooks Ah, I see. It will be the End Times, I hope. The End Times of wingnut moron douchebags. I think Nostradamus predicted it.

  • @FantasticBabblings I actually didn't take her comment about "the children" to mean anything about adoption. But rather I took it as the more extreme "If same-sex marriage is legal, then the fabric of society will unravel and the End Times will come." You hear the nutcases say over and over that same-sex marriage is the gateway to the Apocalypse. But then they're asked "Provide a single example of society unraveling in those countries with same-sex marriage." They're stumped.

  • @FantasticBabblings Yes, which is why I said in my previous comment (with a 500 character limit), I understand that the time that woud take is a very steep price and unacceptable casualty in the fight for freedom. Believe me, the space limit does m no favours, but I understand a fair bit more of all sides of the issue. It just seems like we're settling for second best, though due to my youth taht may just be my nagging idealism talkung (I turned 18 and came out as transexual last month).

  • @Castaa Some orgs have filed intent to appeal, but I'm not sure if they have standing. I would like it to get to the high court, but I'd like enough time to pass to get another moderate or two on the bench.
