No offense to the people in the video - but - there is no such thing as the "Hawaiian War Chant!" This is actually a love song written by Hawaii's last king’s brother "Leleiohōkū”. It was jazzed up in the early 1900’s and given a new name the “Hawaiian War Chant”. Nothing in the lyrics reflects war of any kind. However, if it were a “War Chant” the dancers would dance with weapons…not a small ulī’ulī. Just food for thought!
