Block Paving made easy

I have designed and built this machine myself for block paving domestic driveways. This machine enabled me to lay 80 square meters of infill on this particular driveway in less than a day and a half, single handedly in the month of December, 8 days before the shortest day of the year. Using Tobermore's 60mm Tegula Trio pavers

wot about the time it takes to pre-bond your stack?also your running over your work before you wacker and sand ?

The pavers are already set out in the correct pattern from the manufacturers'. It is better to have a man at the laying face to guide the head in, swap 2 pavers over every other coarse and brush the sand in as you go

Yes they do, and it does lay them.Its better with someone at laying face, queiter engines can be used and its far cheaper than manual labour.A repetative,labour intensive task causeing long term damage to joints can be done with a machine. I stopped digging out driveways with a shovel and wheel barrow a long time ago.Running on the paving dosen't do any harm even if sand has not be applied although it's better applied, the type of drive, steering geomertry and light weight contribute to this

I admire your ingenuity but I honestly think it would be just as quick, if not quicker, laying them manually. Where the blocks are not sitting right, as in your video, that whole course will have to be moved again. Although the machine may have uses in other applications.

Thankyou for comment,I have also laid block paving manually and I know which method I prefer. If I had a man working at the laying face to guide the head in acuratly, those 7 packs or 84 m2 would have been laid in well under a day, with no one breaking into a sweat or wearing knee pads
