Associated Press article about how Marine Recruiters have difficulty in recruiting people who are married with one or more children, or are financially responsible for other people, have an increased drop-out risk. High school drop-outs are also increased risk of dropping out.

And then several people leave during their first tour of duty, and some do not re-enlist.

  • why the best thing to do if you drop out is show the Corps that you want to be a Marine and the best way to do that is get your GED and get 15 college credits which they equal out to a high school diploma.

  • skyanimal please watch my vid on my channel. it has questions about the marines and the army. i was thinking you would have the answers to these.

  • thats exactly right. i might have to drop out because of my grades. i posted a video about it. and a few questions. watch it. please. this goes to skyanimal also.

  • now see thats not always the case. some times people drop out of high school because the school sucks or there parents want them to or make them drop out. or maybe they are bumbs or lost there memory that dose not mean they are not fit to join the marines

  • you would think that high school drop outs would be more likely to stay in because they dont have many oppurtunities
