I'll be writing my first article for the FAMUAN about my recent trip to Border's, and the offense to my Blackness that ensued. Just a little info for you to research.

  • I just read your article, and I couldn't agree more. My mother and I have posed similar questions when we encounter the myriad black romance novels in the African American Fiction section of our local Borders. If romance novels by non-black authors are a category separate from other fiction by non-black authors, why does the same not apply to black romance novels? It's a matter of recognizing genre and recognizing the diversity of tastes and interests among black people. Thanks 4 your article.
