Huh. I was watching the video without reading this column, thinking, I wonder if he's as nice as he seems? Then I read the comments, and going by them, the answer is yes.

I feel kinda close to him because we share the same birthday (not to mention that I love his music). He's... (let's see, checking Wikipedia) exactly nine years to the day older than I am.

i shed tears when he went on stage in orlando afew weeks ago i met him at the end of the last show that evening and i stood speechless i as he shook my hand what a lovely man he is he is a true gentleman . i hope i can catch one of his shows again soon

Definitely NO SUPERTRAMP without Roger Hodgson! To me, it was his voice and his music that made the band. There is no other voice out there like his! He's a true original and a beautiful songwriter, and just a positive, happy person. You can see it in ALL his videos! He loves performing! Wish I could see him live!
