when I was younger I was in the scouts, they kicked me out because I didnt believe in god. A friend of mine told me that after I left the scout leaders said my beliefs were "poisonous".... My grandmother and mom refuse to buy GS cookies because of that, I think they taste good but the way I see it, not buying them keeps my waist-line happy hahaha.

Honestly? I agree with 95% of what you said. the only thing I do not like is the don't ask don't tell. Because if you tell in the army. your fired.
There is no need to have dont ask dont tell when you can see the person has a male look.
So that would not work at all in the girl scouts.
However I am sorry that you had a bad time in the scouts.
We don't have nearly as simular stuff as the scouts in the USA in my country but they were not exactly a good experience for either.

I completely agree with all you said including the whole outcast thing. In any group you're always gonna have someone who doesn't fit in or that everyone else decides to ridicule. As for myself I am a transgender girl I have always been an outcast even when I was in the closet until age 19 at which point my mother disowned me and my father called me garbage and trash. It has always been difficult and I know it will always be but I will keep going. I completely support GSUSA for what they do. I

I agree completely. People need to understand the difference between sex and gender. If the girl you are responding to isn't willing to accept males that identify as girls, then she shouldn't be in such a group to begin with. I take acceptance over bigotry, and anyone who opposes letting a seven year old male who identifies as a girl into girl scouts sided with the latter.

@EchoesOfVoices Agreed girl. I'm open as being transgender although most people tell me I don't have to be. The only place that I'm not is at school and that's for my own personal safety- I live in the deep south. But I always try to give not hateful responses to people as well even though they a clearing pushing hate. I like this video. Like your response too BTW. We have to show that we are not the ones pushing hate but love instead.

Well, there you have it. I am a red blooded heterosexual male, but I'd feel more comfortable "opening up to women." Therefore, I'm heading to the next "Curves" Women's Aerobic class and demanding that I be able to work out with them and shower with them afterwards. That is MY comfort level and I demand my rights.
Well said! If I was making a movie about high school I'd cast the young lady who made that video as one of the snotty cheerleaders and Usoly would be the smart, cool outsider.

Don't Ask Don't Tell was actually repealed this past year. Just an FYI.

@bumblebeemouth I know, but it's still the simple thought. Especially since the Don't ask rule could fly by WAY easier in girl scouts.

Just one correction the don't ask don't tell policy in the military has been recently revoked.
