The reason why we haven't had another terrorist attack is because it wasn't in the U.S. government's interest to create one.

@bastardcheif Thats right we needed a reason to go into Afghanistan, cuz the Taliban eradicated the HEROIN fields. We went in and secured the fields gave the Afghany farmers 40 million to replant poppies and TAA DAA the worlds HEROIN supply is back to normal. The Afghan WAR is about DRUGS (HEROIN)

Man! I'm running a D20 modern game (sort of like D&D only placed in the modern world). I had to figure the taxes on their incomes for their starting occupations & it gave me a mildly sick feeling when I saw how much people pay when they make even a little more than I do in the real world. One of the group started out as a medical doctor with 100k in student loan debt and he pays about 32 percent (fed plus social security) of his income in taxes. Then he gets to pay another 9 percent to spend it!

New York is going to downsize its payroll and fire some people? Sweet! Of course they'll probably fire people who actually do things and not "administrators" whose secretaries could probably do their jobs.

The Bush tax cuts help every person who pays taxes. It created the 10% bracket. If those cuts expire, 10%'ers will pay 15%. That's a 50% tax increase! Good thing Owebama and the Democrats are for "the little people." Yah. Everyone who pays income tax got a cut thanks to Bush.
