Top Video, a journey I have done hundreds of times.
Nice to see India Rubber Junction and Park SB where I carried out Section K many times.
This is before we got Stalybridge Tanks.
This job was the best diagram we had at HM.
If you look at SB Signal box the Achem sidings had not been built, and the middle road was still in at the station.
Also the sidings in front of Vic SB were still in place.
Very good film from the of happy times on BR.

Amazing video mate, I happen to have the same journey filmed around 6 years later - sadly from the cab of a pacer (urgh) which will be uploaded in due course. What a difference a few years makes eh? and what a difference a few more make...

great video,i remember nipping over the line from newton heath to clayton/what a stupid teenager i was,remember these trains thundering past and what great memories,sadly miles platting and park stations have gone,many thanks.
