Recorded in Germany (Electrola label?), this record was released in the United States in 1927. It was listed in the Victor catalogs at least through the 1930s, and my uncle would have purchased it during those years, as he was still a child in 1927. The Marek Weber Orchestra was based at the Hotel Adlon in Berlin.

The other side of the record is "Pasion Criolla", which I posted earlier. I have used the same sequence of visuals as for "Pasion Criolla" as they seem to also fit this tango.

Excellent recording. I think that whistling technique was used again in the 50s Was it "Lisbon Antigua," or "When the White Lilacs Bloom Again?" Could it have been by a German orchestra, released in the USA? No fun to look it up on the computer.
