Merciful is my favorite track from Jesse Johnson's new CD "Verbal Penetration". Get the CD! Listen to this track before YouTube yanks it.

  • The most underated guitarist of our generation. Hendrixs and SRV, and Eddie Hazel, is smiling in heaven.

  • Jesse is still "Da True!!" I wish some of these wannabe guitar slingin' youngsters in my area could hear his stuff...they'd stop playin' that same repetative scale at breakneck speed(tryin' to fool you into thinkin' they can really play) and actually learn some melodic soul/blues/funk!

  • I love and respect Prince--his music and his legacy, but to his Purple Royalness--U cannot nor could U ever play like this!!!

  • Jesse and his guitar incredible!!!!!!! Hey little purple man take notice!!!!!!!

  • Go head on shorty!

  • Jesse, My Brotha, you cuttin' into cats' souls with your AMAZING guitar work, Man!!!! Gotta get this album!!!!

  • @donibegood

i can't speak for E.C., but maybe it's something as simple as scheduling conflicts ?

perhaps E.C. has never even heard Jesse play. (?)

could be all kinds of reasons....but i seriously doubt it's because he's "afraid" of black guitar players.

E.C.'s guitar heroes are black players....besides cutting the album w/B.B., i've seen him jam w/ Albert King,

    also.

  • @ZebZachary BB Allright But Why Won't He Jam With These Young Thundercats. KaybeeAchbee Has A Point.

  • fantastic p-f-guitar

  • @AutumnExplore You make a very good point, and since I have no facts to their "complex relationship", I shall not comment again until I do.

  • @6402680 It must be a complex relationship. Business , yes. Friends, maybe at times... If you search around, and find Prince performing his The Time material, his The Family material, and his other tunes that others hit with, you'll realize that Prince truly is such a hard working talent that he can do anything, almost anything, better than anyone else can; that's the result of working hard. And, if there is an "enemy", the "enemy" may be the recording industry, and distribution channels.

  • @AutumnExplore The Time must now call themselves The Original 7even because Purpleman won't rent or sell their known name, so I guess its do to others what was done to you for Mr. Control Freak.....
