Obama's afraid to do town hall type "debates" with McCain because he'll get his butt kicked. McCain sucks at making speeches, but is excellent with off the top of his head remarks, because he has something in his head. While Obama is excellent at speeches, but sucks at off the top of his head remarks, because he has nothing in his head. So McCain needs to keep the pressure on Obama to do the town hall debates, and if he continues to refuse, then confront him on why he is afraid of them.
Every election a politician mentions improving the economy to get the vote of the unemployed. If the economy is doing good they will create fear and say they will keep the economy strong so as to get the vote of the people who fear loosing their job. We are already in or will quickly be entering a recession. There is nothing the president, congress, or the federal reserve can do to stop this. The housing bubble will continue to deflate.
This will then sink the economy cause people will have to pay higher prices and more taxes. Think of it this way, each time they increase spending and taxes, there is less money for the economy. Ex. I saw a newspaper article where a people would call their congressman because a dog was running loose on their street. That has nothing to do with their congressman. It is city government particulary the dog pound.
The president and congress do not have very many tools in their economic bag. Neither does the Federal Reserve. The congress can give tax breaks or refunds and the president can sign the law but that money has to come from some where. If they borrow it, (this creates money), and causes the dollar to drop and inflation to increase (ex. oil prices) but it spurs spending for a while until it is time to pay back the money. Obama can go on a spending spree but someone will have to pay.
I'm just curious, whats rhetoric about creating or should i say changing the way the economic is right now. Obama's message is about CHANGE, every presidential nominee has their own opinions or ways to Change about Globalization. Obama seems to have a better ideas to his knowledge, will it work, don't know. President Bush is killing the economy right now. Maybe, it will be best to give him a chance before criticize. Even he said That the road will be difficult ahead.
Even the National Abortion federation supported the Born Alive Infant Protection Act 2002 and rejected infanticide where as Obama supported infanticide (the babies were born and breathing and crying).
:) Everyone is seeing how you change the topic from infantide (born babies) to abortion (unborn fetus). We see you and hear you. You are supporting infanticide because you support abortion. OSP (One Sick Puppy) Thank you for showing your colors.
Yes, Obama believes as I believe that an unborn fetus is not a person. Therefore a bill that defines a fetus as a person should not be voted for because it will probably be used to overturn Roe v. Wade, which most Americans, by the way, support. As I said I agree with Obama 100%.
And while we're getting our facts straight, the fetuses addressed by the BAIPA were not "born", they were extracted from the womb and aborted.
I think you need to look at the actually congressional testimony. It is on the government site. He argued that a born fetus of child, not carried to full term, is not a person. Yes he was afraid that if he didn't support infanticide it might overturn abortion. And no he never voted in favor for the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. Make sure you get your facts straight.
Obama voted for the Illinois version of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. He didn't vote for the Federal version because the Federal version identified an unborn fetus as a human being, which he felt might furnish the legal precedent for an activist judge to someday overturn Roe v. Wade. He was correct in doing so and I applaud his foresight as always.
