LOL. I remember downloading the demo from a now defunct website called hotgames.com when I was in high school. I liked it - it's too bad I didn't have any money :(
I did get this game working again on a Vista machine. Got me some sweet Epic action going (the horrid interface is not helping though). Man, if SSI made a game like this for Warmaster I think I could die happy.
Oh yeah, Chaos Gate was also the s***. Screw Rites of War tho.

Except it's nothing like Advance Wars. Thanks for playing.

shame this game and Chaos gate don't work no more

@gufu1992 That teaches me for automatically turning off annotations. Sorry about that

this kinda reminds me of advanced wars a game for the ds xD

Dude, just blow the building up, and kill all the units inside.
Also, you should use the formation button, its a lot quicker than individually placing units, and you can entrench them all at once.

@KJTB8 Yeah, formation are quicker, but it's just not as enjoyable, if you really love to make lovely custom formations.
Also, as I said in the annotations - aiming for the buildings basically means that your units will miss the fuck out of it. Aiming for the units inside the building, give you a better chance to demolish it.

i wonder if they'll do another game like this but with more updated graphics... )i mean... dawn of war is ok, but it has nothing to do with the original warhammer 40k)

@gufu1992 I'm pretty sure he meant in terms of gameplay.

@iHeardYouLiekThem Games Workshop would not allow anyone get anywhere close to actual tabletop gameplay. Unless you want the Warhammer 40k: Everything is a DLC Edition.
