@xrayBlackSheep Why, yes, I am. You seem to be using this posting as a kind of personal commentary E-mail. , or chat room. That's not why it's here. This is here to discuss the theory refered to above, "Growing Earth-Growing Universe." You are certainly welcome to courteously disagree, argue, make a counter-point, observation, facts, theories, and/or anything pertinent to the discussion. I'm sure that methane comes from decomposing cambrien life lol. I didn't read 60 times more, yes that's a bit off.
I see your point about temp vs. air pressure. This issue I've raised about escape velocity vs. atmosphere hasn't been addressed yet but, like I said, others don't seem to be worried on either side.
I don't get your point about my apparent lack of sofistication. oh oh, off to play your Gran' Pi-A-NO!
Chin up, Etzel. I gave you a +1 for your 'Scavenger' comment! And it's a baby grand, but I'll let that slide.
Titan's atmosphere has Nitrogen in it. Also Methane, Ammonia, Carbon Dioxide, and Carbon Monoxide. The bulk constituent is Nitrogen (98.4%). The much reduced gravity means Titan's atmosphere extends far above the planet's surface - about 1000km. That's quite a lot further "up" than our atmosphere. There is little to no hydrogen as it isn't replenished and indeed escaped the moon.
@phdhbtdsmmm ,..O-kay, you caught Etzel in a weak moment, but he's got plenty of rounds left in him. So a bear can run 15 MPH and he does. The T-rex is built to run 75 MPH but he chooses NOT TO! Hadrasaur can too,.. but he chooses not to? He just stands and let's the Raptors KILL HIM! And the T-rex cleans up the mess.
Tell you a story phd. Friend of mine, the late Stan Winston decided to build a full-size T-rex for Jurassic Park. He used titanium for the stress. Each time he turned the (cont)
@nealadamsdotcom Each time he swung the head, the torc on the frame buckled and twisted all strain bearing metal. He had to Replace all the titanium and had to modify. In the end he cut the figure in half and anchored Each half to the foundation He had to hide the MIDDLE.
Trilobite farts... now that's something I haven't considered before. Maybe we can campaign Neal to shuffle the Plebians along to the Trilobite fart videos?
Further - Titan's atmosphere contains Methane, which - if you know a little about planetary atmospheric dynamics - breaks down in just a few hundred days (depending on concentrations, of course) due to ultraviolet radiation dissociating the bonds. This means the atmosphere is almost certainly still outgassing. The planet is smaller, yes, but is at something like -173C. Atoms move kind of slowly at those temps, which increases the density still further, along with reduced solar radiation pressure
Etzel, you pointless pedant and all-round waste of fresh air!
I didn't say anything about the value being less or more. I was merely responding to Kappa's post about Titan's atmosphere being 60 times more dense than Earth's. Which it isn't.

But not out-gassing Hydrogen?
And no Hydrogen? How would we know,...if there was NO Hydrogen???
That high,.. it would have blown away,..yes?
Making up rules,....again? Tsk-tsk.

As well you know.
