@thewewguy8t88 - Yeah, I still find it hard to believe the 90's were gone over a decade ago. Makes me all nostalgic lol :)

@GlitterFlame89 oh that well for me i grew up heck this was honestly the 3rd or 2nd full episode i rember watching as a child i mean to be honest i still lived in the 90s untill mabye the past 2-3 years still its still really fresh in my mind so it still feels like oh yeah i rember this i think its aged kind of well since to me it feels like yesterday this stuff was still relvent.

@thewewguy8t88 - I've actually never watched Supernatural, but I keep hearing how good it is, I may have to check it out. And by dated I mean the way some of the technology looks, like the cell phones for instance, and I think some of the special effects would be done differently today. In other ways it has aged quite well.

@alphagamma19 it is on dvd

@GlitterFlame89 i personaly dont think its dated i think its actully aged well and to be honest the episoes seem alot better then i rember them being/or just aswsome. its got a sense of fimlitary towards it because to be honest the show half the time feels like i am watching supernatural. just replace moulder and sully with sam and dean and i think thats actully kind of awsome how it feels so much like one of my favorite shows right now.

@thewewguy8t88 - I think this particular episode definitely was trying to be silly. The earlier Seasons tend to take a more serious approach, and as you get into later Seasons and the show was firmly cemented with its popularity you get the darker and the sillier episodes. and it's definitely a mixed bag with the show, you get humor, horror, sci-fi, drama, romance, a little of everything. And it is definitely dated now, the Pilot turns 20 this year.

@GlitterFlame89 well i just feel like it was trying to be stupid. i mean i like over the top stuff. but this was out of the blue stupidity. but i mean the show itsself i think is a mixed bag shooting its self in the foot while trying really hard to take its self seriously. i mean i just started watching this show a few days ago. i did not understand this show when it first aired i was too young too understand and now i think the monsters look straight out of supernatural.

@thewewguy8t88 - It really depends on what you are looking for going in. I love the lighter episodes, the ones where they are having fun and not trying to be serious, and this definitely falls into that category. It's meant to be completely over-the-top and silly, and it does what it tries to do. If you go in expecting a typical episode, it is going to be crummy. But to each their own, there are popular episodes I really dislike too :)
Forgive my stupid question but at the end of this episode, do we find out the scientist was breeding animals with humans? It's been so long since I saw it, I can't quite remember the end ...but I did love the episode

@TomFromJersey - Not exactly; I'll recap for you :) The scientist created Mutato, but his Father raised Mutato as a son but kept him secret. The Father tried to create a companion for Mutato but didn't have the science know-how to do so. Mutato was kinda drugging and sleeping with local woman to try and breed something similar to himself, and at the end it does appear several local woman gave birth to Mutato-looking babies and are on Jerry Springer with them :)
