Ron Paul asked if he was not running himself who he would identify the with and vote for.

He calls Dennis Kucinich: "a good friend of mine", "and he is a honest person".

Setting aside our ideological differences, lets hope for a 2008 election between Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich. Two honorable and honest men who respect our Constitution.

Lets restore sanity to the White House.

Kucinich 2008, and best wishes to those of the GOP supporting Ron Paul.

  • @erkd1 ...Uh. So what is it that I'm missing, then? I'm not criticizing either politician, not here, but... I'm still confused as to why they admire each other. Is it more about both being integral, intelligent politicians?

  • @nocturnezero Again, this is Ron Paul's opinion from Ron Paul himself. If you feel that Ron Paul cannot have that position because he conflicts with your view of RP then I would say you need to look into it why that is. In this video RP says that since foreign policy is so important to him he would endorse Chuck Hagel or DK if he was not running himself. For another video in which he goes into more detail on his opinion of DK, try this video out: /watch?v=Qx9a4hNeIRo

  • I'm confused. Aren't Kucinich's and Paul's positions quite the opposite - Paul supporting state governments, Kucinich leaning more towards federal solutions? Especially in the case of Universal Health Care? In fact, economically, it seems they are almost polar opposites; where Paul is all about the free market and neoliberalism, it seems Kucinich is all about regulation and something like social democracy. Is there something I'm missing?

  • @nocturnezero yes, there is something you are missing. This is not a commentary on Ron Paul, this is Ron Paul himself, in his own words saying you are missing something.

  • I think we need a viable third party, but for that to become a reality, we need a Proportional Representation System where third parties automatically get a seat at the table if they capture a certain proportion of the vote. The Republicans and Democrats just aren't doing a very good job of representing our interests.

  • Instant run off voting would be a great start so we are not always caught in this 'I will vote for terrible to prevent worse getting elected' scenario that happens every four years.

  • Long Live the KINGS, LONG LIVE KUCINICH AND PAUL.

  • I would LOVE to see a Paul/Kucinich-like (independent) ticket, or vice versa.

Yes - libertarians AND progressives taking advantage of the COMMON ground they DO share: Foreign policy, MIC waste, Patriot Act (privacy), war on drugs, the Fed, LONG-term fiscal discipline, etc. I'll take THAT hybrid over mainstream conservative Dem/Rep, corporatist-status quo-sellout, ANY day of the week!

  • PAUL OR KUCINICH FOR USA PRESIDENT OF 2012!!

  • @nocturnezero IMHO, I think Dennis is an HONEST politician and they are very few and far between in congress these daze. And because he is honest, Ron and Dennis are friends.

  • @nocturnezero Kucinich and Paul are poles apart on economic issues but Paul and Kucinich are largely in agreement on a non-interventionist (humble) foreign policy. As Paul states, foreign policy is such an important area at the moment that this agreement makes him disposed towards a Kucinich candidacy.

  • 2012 Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, Mike Gravel and Jesse Ventura in the white house. Knights of the oval office.

  • @nocturnezero You're simply unaware, so there's no need to apologize. It seems to me as if these are the two most honest politicians whose intentions are to defend the Constitution. They are not polar opposites; that's what the media want you to think. They agree on a LOT of issues, but do disagree on some, and I trust that if these two were held at the highest positions in office, they would actually use logical debate to the fullest to arrive at conclusions, not utilize people's weaknesses

  • @futbolfever90 Uh. So you're saying it IS a matter of both being integral, honest politicians? I apologize for my confusion, it's just, I always perceived their positions on political issues to be polar opposites in most cases.

  • @nocturnezero You're missing the LIES that are being fed to you by the TV - turn it off. You're trapped in the FAKE Democratic/Republican paradigm that has been designed to divide the American people. Study the art of Rhetoric & Persuasion that many politicians have mastered to make you believe them. Seek the truth of a higher agenda. Keep watching Ron Paul/Dennis K videos, understand how today's administration is destroying the country; then you will understand.

  • ron paul should have ran on an indy ticket with dennis kucinich and have their ad time sponsored by mayor bloomberg. they would be unstoppable.

  • Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul were the only candidates which made any sense during those debates and they were largely dismissed... i was surprised that someone like mccain and palin would litteraly "steal" the "show" oh well...
