It is time for a new contest and this is a BIG one! If you choose to enter, you will get a LOT of exposure.......and if you win, I am going to hook you up BIG TIME! Now let me give you the details.

Choose five of your best artworks in a sketchbook or in your portfolio and show them off in a video. I am a very open minded person so any type of art is ok to enter. After you make your video, post it as a video response to this video.
As soon as you post your video response, I will add it to a playlist at the top of my channel page and I will mark down the number of subscribers that you entered the contest with. Let me show you what I mean. After you post your video response, I will visit your channel and I will get the number of subscribers that you have. I will then post that information next to your video on the playlist.
But wait a second Merrill, why are you doing that? The answer is.....because the YouTube visual artist community is going to be the judges.
Here is how we are going to score. Each new subscriber that YOUR channel gets is going to be worth 3 points. Each favorite that your video gets is going to be worth 2 points. Each like that your video gets is going to be worth 1 point. I will also post every entry to my Facebook page. Be nice to my Facebook people, because every thumbs up on my Facebook page is worth 2 points. But wait Merrill, why are you doing a contest this way? I am trying to help you go viral. I hope that everybody has noticed by now that every like comment, favorite and subscription that a channel makes, ends up on the channels activity feed.....So if YOU get a big response.....YOU will go viral! Aren't I cool? Yeah I think so too!
Now here is what you have to do to enter. You must do three simple things. 1.) Be a subscriber to my channel kazanjianm. Don't worry you dont have to pronounce it....you just have to be subscribed to it. 2.) Post a comment below in the comments section that includes the words i'm in. 3.) Advocate for a visual arts category in our Forum. This is NOT hard to do, all that you need to do is hit the link in the video description below and write a simple comment. One more thing......Im a friggin NINJA......not that anyone is going to be dishonest, but I am a teacher and a pretty darn organized one. This is my G-Mail. I never delete messages so I can use the search query to go Santa Claus on you.
But whats the prize? Well I said that I am going to hook you up and I mean it. I will make a step by step video of the winner and you will get a month in my channel box. I challenge you to find a prize better than that. Know this, all channels that enter will get a LOT of exposure.
The deadline is Febuary 1, 2012.
3 quick notes before I tell you to get to work!
1.) Any entry has to be a new video specifically made for this contest. Any videos created before January 17th 2012 will not be considered.
2.) Realize that I am human. I will do my best to quickly post your video in to the playlist on to my facebook page, and mark your number of subscribers, but I am not in front of my computer all the time. But please know that I will do my best to be as accurate as possible.
3.) Advocate! The time is now for the YouTube Visual Arts category. Although they havent responded. You better believe that YouTube is listening to our advocacy for the Visual Arts Category. Please post in the forum. We have 300 comments so far but that is not enough to convince YouTube to give us a category. Please spread the word. Share any video in this playlist as much as possible. If everybody shares this with two of their favorite artists and asks them to pass it on, I am sure that we will have a category. ALRIGHT, I GAVE YOU A LOT TO DO......GET TO WORK!
