I know a gentleman from Mumbai. He had such a bad case of spondylitis that he was in braces and one arm was practically useless. Shankaracharya of Sringeri looked at him and said " Go home. You will have no more problems". He sat down to have his meal and his wife was shocked to see him lift his own glass of water and start drinking with his arm that had been useless for so long!
