Alright, let me explain what happened here. We played this game immediately after the opening charge of Living Legends 4. Living Legends 4 started at 12:00 sharp, this game started at 12:45. We played the LL4 opening battle charge, hauled ass to the NPPL field (which was quite a distance from the railroad tracks), and played this game.
What happened here was simple. Luke (the player wearing my Mike Phillips USF Jersey) took the door off break, Garrett took the standup and I took the snake corner. I never saw Luke go into the snake, and I thought he got shot out. Garrett fills the door, and I thought it was because Luke got shot out.
You will hear me telling Garrett to take the snake, which he doesn't do. So when Garrett gets shot out from the door, I fill the snake (and don't see my snake player in the 50), I move up to S2 (and still don't see my snake player), and when I come out shooting to move up to 50, my snake player was moving into THEIR snake, with his entire back exposed to my shooting lane up the tape.
It scared the shit out of me, because I thought I was all alone in the snake, I had no clue he was still alive!!
You have to also remember, we practiced for the NPPL.... at the NPPL! We didn't get to practice the 7 man format for this event, we had just put our markers in 15bps semi auto a couple days prior!
We lost all 4 of our games on Friday, but after discussing what worked and what didn't, we won 2 games and lost 2 games on Saturday.
I was proud that we went 2 and 2 on Saturday, it means that we have the ability to compete in Division 3 NPPL, once we learn the format and the strategy a little better.
I certainly felt like an idiot shooting my own player in the back in the snake, but mistakes happen and hopefully this video will show you, how much fun and exciting playing the NPPL truly is!
I hope you appreciate that wearing a huge goggle cam is a MAJOR disadvantage to me on the field, and I can't afford to "head-check" with it on my mask. I must come out shooting or I'll get blasted because the camera gives my opponents PLENTY of time to anticipate my shot.
Luke took 3 in the back, so you could see what it's like to play the NPPL. Usually I headcheck, but I can't headcheck with a goggle camera.
Enjoy!!!! The NPPL is an AWESOME league to play!!!
I love the part where he is screaming at "garrett" to get into the snake but by the time anything happens he gets shot out. Mike just whispers, " Ohh, you fucker.."
