It wasn't all the us had left, they were easily winning, however, the Japanese would never surrender, they would fight until every soldier was dead, and then some. The bomb was dropped to bring the war to a speedy end and to reduce loss of American soldiers, and nothing more. (Kind of ironic considering they killed civilians of Japan to save there own soldier, but i digress)

the only reason we needed to drop the bomb on Hiroshima was because it was all we had left. otherwise there was a high possibility they could have beaten us. thats the only time i could think it was right to drop the bomb. but still it is a horrible thing to do to a country
