  • @TScribbler Are you or have you been a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant? If she could make it to the level she is at in this business WHY would she NOT share the opportunity with other woman? Everyone pays the same amount for their starter kit but like ANY business you only get what to put in to it! She put 19 years into hers and look where she is at. It is possible. Don't be a Debbie Downer or a hater at this woman's success.

  • She is an amazing women! Truly a beautiful person inside and out. She has helped so many women reach their dreams!!

  • @TriniBeautydotcom, thank you. It is always a noble thing to live out one's dreams without having to repeatedly manipulate and deceive others into a pretend business where the turnover is high and the profits are low. :)

  • @Sportica Further than you can ever imagine. MK may not be the career of choice for you but I hope you are out there living your dreams. All the best.

  • @neh310 actually, the recruiting interview is carefully structured to only give the fluffy feel-good information, never the real meat of the issue. Of course, that's to increase the chances of the potential recruit saying "yes," so NO, women who join MK are often joining based on emotion and fluff, NOT because they were given both sides of the issue and told to review them carefully before deciding to join or not join.

  • @TriniBeautydotcom, so how far up the career path have you come since 2002?

  • @jrkoehmstedt, please. Gloria fails to mention that her husband Ken owns quite the successful construction company and has done so for a number of years, yet I've yet to hear her give him credit for getting her where she sits today. Chances are good that Gloria would not have made it to the top of the triangle if she didn't have her husband's big fat financial safety net beneath her. Also, success gained through manipulation (as Gloria's is) is never to be praised, only pitied.

  • @TScribbler G.M.B. is a phenomenal woman & she deserves it all. As an Independent Contractor for MK since 2002, I've learned the ins and outs of this business. Randomly bringing someone into the company doesn't award you with anything. As a leader, you take on a lot of responsibility so the company pays our leaders extreamly well.A great leader will take a new consultant and she'll blossom into a confident & successful business owner. That's when you move up the career path; when you bless others

  • most people dont get into mary kay to get to her level anyway, most of us have full time jobs we love and get into it to make some extra money and have fun. Kudos to her for making it big, you make it what you want.

  • Women who join Mary Kay know exactly what they are getting into when they sign their agreement. There is no requirement to buy inventory. Do you know of a direct selling business where you don't have to recruit to "move up" so to speak? I used to sell Partylite, you have to recruit. Avon, recruit. Premier jewelry, recruit. Pampered chef, recruit. Gloria trains her people to get where she is - she has at least 3 NSD offspring and those women have tons of top selling units.
