In the Shadows

Just sort of thrown together.
This video shows horses who,when facing certain rivals were overshadowed by them. I am aware that some of the horses in here went on to do bigger and better things,I understand these horses did get some time in the sun,and that they won major awards and Stakes. BUT,when racing with a particular opponent they were left behind.

Here's my reasoning:
Alydar-Affirmed
Coaltown-Citation
Fair Play-Colin
Sham-Secretariat

I couldn't find very many photos of most of the horses. I wanted to put a few other ones in there too,like Run Dusty Run etc-but I couldn't find even one picture of them. This is all I could really dig up.

one of the most overshadowed horses in my opinion is the great Sir Barton....first triple crown winner in history lost in the shadow of MOW

@horseyaddicted Sunday Silence wasn't overshadowed, he just got beat in probably the most important race of his career. He was also the most sucessful stud in thoroughbred history with his get earning more than $700,000,000...also IMO one of the most beautiful stallions that ever graced us with his presence....just that Easy Goer had a better day at the Belmont
