  • The car carriers are made by Concor. However a few of them are nicer ones made by Red Caboose.

    DCC works by having a constant power supply in the rail tracks but the controllers connected to the command station sends a signal down the rails at a higher frequency. The decoder fitted into each loco picks up the signal being sent to it, processes this and then reacts to what the controllers connected to the command station are telling it to do such as speed up, slow down, lights on etc.

  • Engines sounded like Bachmann ... ?

  • No - they are Intermountain tunnel motors!

    Might be background noise from other layouts at the show.
