Car Crushed at Redneck Yacht Club

On Saturday, February 25, 2012, around 3 am, during "Swamp Cabbage Weekend" (billed as "Mardi Gras with mud") held at the Redneck Yacht Club, 44570 Bermont Road Punta Gorda FL, a 1994 Toyota Corolla belonging to a 16 year old girl was run over and demolished.

Amanda Christine Kent. the mother of the girl whose car was destroyed, wrote :

"I'm beyond heartbroken. My husband and I were extremely happy and proud to have bought our very deserving daughter such a cute 1st car. Although it was older, it was in beautiful shape and had only 70K miles on it... So "they" KNEW... it was an extremely MALICIOUS act. My daughter is a straight A student who volunteers at a local horse farm, loves music... mudding... A GOOD GIRL... this has traumatized her and my heart is so saddened that people can be so cruel... 500 people watched and encouraged it, yet no one has a video? I'm PRAYING one pops up... I thank u all for the kind worrds of support."

40 year old Norman Nowling of 15341 Will Lew Lane, Fort Myers FL was arrested and charged with felony criminal mischief. He was released after posting $2500 bond.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that alcohol may have been involved.
