Tie Rod End Removal

To change the tie rod end (outer) or the inner tie rod, you start by removing the cotter pin, nut, and ball joint from the wheel assembly.

me i dont take a chance if the boot is split the hole thing gets replaced beisids thoes outer tierods even the inners are not expensive so safter to replace

i am attempting to take my drivers side tie rod off, im going to the store to get a c clamp, hopefully this will work, ive been trying for about 5 hours...sprayed it down with pb last night and let it sit over night also

I use a pipe wrench too. Also, you can buy replacement boots for afew bucks.
