Reconciliation is simply a procedure by which you can pass things with a simple majority (51 votes) rather than have to overcome a 60 vote threshold. That's communism? And as far as the founding fathers are concerned, the constitution says the senate makes its own rules. One of those rules is reconciliation.

And you must make up your mind: Is reconciliation communist or fascist? You do realize the two terms are mutually exclusive.

There is nothing in the Constitution insisting on a 60-vote majority. (There were only 26 members of the 1788 Senate.) The Senate, like the House, is free to chose it own rules of procedure in the vast majority of decisions, including this one.

The Republicans used Reconciliation several times under Bush. For example, they used it three times to pass tax cuts for the rich, and they attempted to allow private corporations to drill for oil on publicly-owned and protected wild-life Arctic preserves. Are the Republicans communist too?

I'm glad that there are some fact checking going on but it still remains confusing to many people as to at what stage the bill is at right now. The house bill passed, the Senate bill passed. They came together and combined the bills into the final bill, which was objected to by Blue Dogs and Republicans, which now is being fixed. So there is still a final vote on the final bill, in both the House and the Senate, right?

Reconcilliation is commounism. Blame and simple. Our founding fathers never would of dreamed of the facist idea of reconciliation, but our socialist ways do. We are a country of capilization so why are democrats trying to defeat what the people want.

Pass the Bill as is , then fix it through reconciliation , That can be done as long as the Representatives can get it through their thick heads...Sounds pretty simple and then F@#% the Republicans ...History will remember them as the obstructionists they are....
