Gollum was great. If i had to rate The Hobbit i'd give it an 8.4 out of ten. The Lord of the Rings i'd give a 9.8, really hope jackson pulls it together for the other two movies.

I know we cant agree on everything but do you honestly think that The Avengers (most over rated movie of 2012), Thor and Batman were better than this movie? I think watching this in 48fps has clouded your judgment, because this is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. All performances were superb, it was visually stunning (in 24fps) and all the slow parts you complain about are all relevant and all completely necessary. Although I didnt notice any "slow parts".be patient Jeremy :)

To me was on pair with Lord of The Rings. Even better than "The Two Towers". People complain it was slow. That's what I liked most about it: it really takes its time to explore the great source material, while LoTR feels rushed at times.

You are confusing Radagast with Beorn. Radagast never ever turned into bear or any other animal, he is friend with animals, especially birds, but not a skinchanger.

Personally, I didn't like the Hobbit. LOTR are my favorite films of all time, but the Hobbit...meh

I'd say Thor did better in terms of pacing and humor. The Hobbit didn't really need Radagast, Azog, or even the White Council because it distracted from the main narrative and didn't advance the plot much. Wasn't a fan of all the CGI/action scenes and the burping, snot jokes, and bunny sled really turned me off.

I have a feeling that u have not read the book. for your information radagast was not in the book he was mentioned once by Gandalf. and bilbos character was exactly like the book thorins was not. thorin had a more realistic character in the movie. don't go hating on movies thinking u have all the facts even though u don't. u obviously have not read the hobbit
