Star Control 2 Music - Arilou/Orz/ZoqFotPik

Did you know the music for the Arilou, Orz and ZoqFotPik has pretty much the same tempo and a fairly similar structure? Of course you didn't because you're not a nitpicking nerd like I am.

Anyway, I combined the three into one track. Take a listen.. it does go out of sync after a while though.

next-gen games arn't up to par with this little gem imo. this game doesn't even cost the meager 300 the 3DO was anymore either.

I hear ya. The only issue I have with the game's story is that they stereotype all members of one race into a single personality or culture, but that may be a result of the Ur-Quan's enslavement.

Actually, I always thought the Arilou song sounded like a softer, backwards version of the Human song. And then I thought, crap, they were already there, too.

@inflikkt So the designers actually ran out of money to produce music for their game. Rather than go without music, they announced a contest whereby random fans could get their music into the game, and the fans submitted a whole bunch of really good tracks that got used. :)
