My son Malachi talking about his testicular cancer. He wants to give a heads up to everyone not to let it go as far as he did!

He had Yolk sac tumor (testicles) and teratoma tumors (inside his body). All had to be removed via surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Hospital.

Mothers, sisters and wives take note!!

Your sons, brothers and husbands between 15 and 35 are most likley to get testicular cancer. Please have them check at least once a year their ball sacs to verify they don't hae more than the amount of balls they were born with.

Systems of testicular cancer are:
- discomfort or pain in the testicles
- pain in the back or lower abdomen
- enlarged testicle
- lumps or swelling in the testicles

For more information please look here:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0002266/

If caught early, the worst that can happen is having that testicle removed and that is AN OUTPATIENT SURGERY! Takes less than an hour to do and he comes home that afternoon. All in all not too bad as a cancer goes, nothing scary at all IF CAUGHT EARLY.

Hugs to you all and hug your men.

  • You're so brave! You don't seem riddled with depression, or even sick. I was diagnosed with right breast cancer a couple of years ago, when I was 35, and had both my breasts removed. I did opt for a chemo port (didn't know that was an option) and found out later (even with a 2nd opinion from Emory) that I didn't need chemo. I had a total hysterectomy in January of last year, since the PET scan showed a cyst on one of my ovaries, and my oncologist thought it best. I'd held up fine, as you will!

  • @GurlyGurl2daMAX - he said it okay to put this video on your facebook page. Anything to help men start looking and going in for treatment. Thank you.
